Migdal Ha'Emek, Israel, November 20, 2000 - Applied Spectral Imaging announced today the appointment of Craig Sundheimer as Chief Business Development Officer. Mr. Sundheimer will focus on forming strategic partnerships for the company and successful business strategies for new applications. Mr. Sundheimer was previously Chief Business Development Officer at Welch Allyn, Inc. and has led business development efforts at Abbott Laboratories, Xomed Surgical Products, Inc. as well as at other prominent companies in the health care industry. "Given Mr. Sundheimer's very impressive past record, I am sure that he will be a key factor in guiding ASI to profitable and sound business opportunities that will advance our unique SpectraCube® imaging technology as well as other imaging technologies in development," said H. Before assuming his current position at Applied Spectral Imaging, Mr. Sundheimer was the Chief Business Development Officer at Welch Allyn, Inc. for four years. From 1995-1996, he was VP, Corporate Business Development at Xomed Surgical Products, Inc. At Abbott Laboratories, from 1986-1995, he led new business development activities for the Hospital Products Division. Previously, from 1984-1985, he led New Business Development for Sorenson Research Corporation, a subsidiary of Abbott Laboratories. ASI has developed a light-related platform imaging technology called SpectraCube®. Patented worldwide, SpectraCube® displays information in an image that cannot be detected with existing imaging technologies. ASI has developed and commercialized products in pathology, ophthalmology and cytogenetics which use SpectraCube® as their core technology. ASI is currently developing a unique neurosurgical imaging system.
